August2014 Road Trip: Day 20-Tell City Indiana

After breakfast we hiked around the area of our hotel before leaving for the Hoosier National Forest.

We decided to do some cave exploring instead of hiking since it was raining.  On the way to the caves we stopped at a local Amish market in the city of Orleans Indiana. 

Our first caves were the Marengo Cave National a Landmark.  We did the Crystal Palace caves.  It was a guided tour with plenty of exercise, walking and stairs.    It was amazing.

Lunch was at Country Style Restaurant in Leavenworth IN.  It was perfect !

Second were the Indiana Caverns in Corydon.  The tour for these caverns was 90 minutes, it was a combination of many stairs, plenty walking and a boat ride.

Our FREE home tonight is the Holiday Inn-Tell City.  The room is clean and has a great private view of trees, which is far better than a parking lot.  They gave us 2 queen beds instead of a king but its bigger so we didn't object.  The hotel is located on the Ohio River.
