August2014 Road Trip: Day 18-London OH

Our first stop in Ohio is The Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton OH.

Hubby was thrilled to be able to see the exhibits in person after only seeing pictures.
The museum is 2 floors.  The first floor showing football from the beginning and the famous statue.

The second floor was all the busts (heads) of the players inducted.

The only Saints players were Willie Roaf who played 10 years for the saints and maybe like 3 for Kansas City and Ricky Jackson with the Saints.  This floor also had the Road to the Super Bowl exhibit which was fantastic.
Remember these guys from the movie  Ryan's Song?

Drew Brees was included for his passing yards record.

As Saints fans we were somewhat disappointed because, well..........we didn't represent much with the exception of those 3 players in very small areas.

Our second stop was Berlin Ohio (Amish Country).  The Amish seem more affluent than those in PA.  They also are more into furniture making and sales than those in PA.  We did visit an Amish Family that makes 5000 types of cheese.
The place was huge and we tasted at least 30-40 between Hubby and I.  We ended up buying 4 to bring home. We had lunch at a diner named Cindy's, it was just ok...I wouldn't recommend.  We stopped at some Amish farm stands for a few things here and there and then headed to our hotel in London.

Our FREE home tonight is the Holiday Inn Expess-London.  We able to checkin right away since we arrived late.  Our room is nice, clean & a bit larger than the last one.

It is equipped with a coffee maker and a fridge but no microwave.  The front desk lady was very nice and the breakfast worker was super nice.  Breakfast is eggs, bacon, various hot & cold cereals and pancakes...the norm.
