Monday, March 18, 2013 - Barbados
We arrived in port earlier than schedule (around 6am). I took some beautiful sunrise pictures over the island. We were greeted with beautiful weather. We had a cruise critic tour to a nearby beach called Carlisle Bay. $5 pp taxi each way was a bargain. We were dropped off at a place called Harbor Lights, a restaurant/bar/beach spot. We walked right through to the beach, rented 2 beach chairs and an umbrella for $15. OMG the water was crystal clear and beautiful shades of sapphire/emerald blues..just beautiful. We enjoyed a glorious 3 hours in the water. When we were ready to head back they even got us a cab.
We spent an hour or so shopping in some boutique stores before boarding the ship....it was a wonderful day.
Dinner was meatloaf and mashed potatoes. The show was a new guy who sang motown hits, he was good, not great..but good :)
